Maker Will Not Turn On

Breakmaker will not properly power up

Ensure the device is plugged into the outlet correctly, and that the outlet is supplying efficient power. The outlet needs to provide 120 volts of alternating current at 60 Hertz. Try unplugging and plugging the device back in to the outlet to receive proper power, and ensure that prongs are being inserted into the proper side of the outlet, as one prong is larger than the other. If your device is not getting power, a voltmeter can be used to check that the outlet is supplying the proper voltage.

To solve this problem you must allow the device to return to room temperature and attempt to reheat. Unplug the device and let the unit sit and come back to room temperature, then restart to see if breadmaker will work properly.

Start/Stop Button LED Will Not Light Up

LED light in display does not light up to indicate that breadmaker is on

LED may not be turning on because the breadmaker itself is not turning on; ensure that the device is receiving efficient power and that it is turning on. To solve this refer back to the 'Maker will Not Turn On' section of this troubleshooting page. If the LED light is not displaying, it may be loose and not properly connected to the circuit board. If breadmaker is properly turning on, but LED is still not lighting up, the LED itself may be broken. In order to check if the LED itself is broken you should remove the front panel of the device, as explained in the beginning of this guide, then check that the LED is properly connected to the circuit board. If the bread is not being properly baked, the coils may not be properly heating . To see if the bread is not baking due to the coils not working, power on the device and allow it time to heat up; heating should take approximately 5 minutes. Carefully place your hand over the top of the lid, if you do not feel heat emitting from the Expressbake, you may need to replace the coils.
