I have an ASUS SDRW-08U7M-U (external optical drive, usb connection) and original W 8.1 pro x64 DVD.

Opened BCA, it detects the win isntaller, create the usb with support software (dirvers), creates the partition, but after restart, it won't boot from dvd (auto or using the alt key). if i manually boot from usb, i get what i said in the main post

I don't have his original optical drive anymore, but i think i can get one apple optical drive, from macbook pro 13 2011. 270962 services manual download.

You think that win installer gonna boot from the (apple) optical drive?

so, BCA looks for hybrid MBR, that means i should change the partition table from the ssd (where osx is curently installed) to MBR? as far as i know, osx need GPT. I'm wrong?

also, win installer says that cannot install the os on a drive with different partition table than GPT (win 8.1 at least)
